Today in my US history class we ended up talking about if Hillary Clinton should be the next president or not. Some said yeah and some said no, just curious as to what you think. I'll post my opinion after some people say their's lol.

No, she shouldn't. She's only such a big name in the Democrats because her husband was president, and her fame is being used to give her an advantage over other people who have put themselves forward to be the Democrats presidential candidate. As a president, Hillary would be a hypocrite. She'd go on about global warming, and polute the atmosphere everytime she felt it necessary to go to another country or across the US. She'd go on about how some people are so poor even though she's had plenty of money for years which she could have given to the people she wants everybody to feel sorry for so they wouldn't be poor. She'd be useless in the world war against Islamic extremists. Her party thinks we should all just withdraw from Iraq even if as a consequence the country collapses and ends up in the hands of Islamic extremists. Well there are some Democrats who believe there should be a small presence of US soldiers there, though they'd be no match against a few thousand reorganised terrorists. No illegal immigrants would be punished for breaking the law by acting illegally under Hillary Clinton, so that's another reason why she shouldn't be president of the US. She'd do nothing to eradicate the gangs who bring crime and drugs to sections of big cities. Finally, another reason she shouldn't get in, is that there are many people in the US, who would vote Hillary just because she's a woman, or Barack Obama just because he's black. That kind of descrimination shouldn't be happening in the 21st century.

grin, good on you senior on the last 2 in there. Your absolutely right! Hillary really showed her true colors in the last debate, That immigration question really tripped her up and the reason is, Hillary like her husband wants to be Abel to be on both sides of a issue. they no how questions like that separate the candidate and the votes and they want both sides of the pie and to be able to eat it too!

It's just like bill and is what is is crap. he knows and knew damn well what is means he just didn't want to answer the question.

If you ask me what color the sky is and I answer you with.: well, those who determined the color of the sky really had to take a lot of things in to account. what kind of answer have I given you. exactly none at all!

She shouldn't be president, if she won't break up with her husband after it's proven he's a scum bag who was constently cheeting on her because staying with him to help her political advantage was more important thet her morals she shouldn't be president.

I'm in the middle on this topic, but at least, it's not Bush who's handling this whole country. I don't like how he force people on what he wants and look how it turned out. Millions or probably billions of people died from that war that he thinks would work, but it just made things worst.

Being a conservative New Yorker, I say a defiant Hell no. Name one thing she did as senator of NY.
...

...
...
...

Didn't think so. Yep, she stepped over NY on her way to her supposed presidency, and while there, she will simply sit back on her lorals like her husband did. Anyone but Clinton in 08.

Hillary voted for the war too, so had she been president at the time it was decided to take out dictator Saddam, Hillary would have sent her country to war. All wars have casualties, so the only way the US coule have avoided deaths in war after 9/11 would be by not fighting wars, but as long as one side wants to fight, there cannot be peace. If a Democratic president was to say that the US will not fight wars abroad any more in case lives are lost, that president wouldn't stop lives being lost. If people abroad launched attacks against the US, lives in the US could be lost, iso not fighting abroad would have made no difference. The US wasn't in Iraq or Afghanistan on September 11th, 2001. Nearly 3000 US citizens lost their lives on that day.

Hillary, like her husband, is a sociopath who cares about nothing except her silly little career. What's left of her worthless soul belongs to AIPAC, but then that's true of all of the politicians in both of the media-approved political parties. I voted for third-party candidates in the last three Presidential elections, and I will again this time, even though I know it's a pointless gesture.

I know that my opinion is in the minority here, but I think Hillary Clinton would be a great President! Y, u may ask? She voted to initiate the war with Iraq, and Bill Clinton, her husband, was President for eight years. Well first off, when the Iraq war first broke out, almost everyone was supportive of the war. Y go against the Presiden in the face of supposedly convincing intelligence and the thought of getting rid of Saddam Husein? However, although we got rid of Husein, things did not turn out like any one had planned. Hillary has even said that she would not have voted for it if given the opportunity again. She is a very courageous woman, first of all for even running for President, and second, for standing by her husband in the face of criticism after the whole Monica Luwinsky thing. She is also a great leader that plans to help Americans out in numerous areas, such as health care and social security. Finally, some people do not think she would be a good President, since she has never been the leader of anything. She's a Senator, although I'm not sure what all she's done for New York, since I don't live there, but she also was the First Lady for all eight years of Bill Clinton's presidency, where things were going good. Wouldn't u rather have her as your president than Bush? If she still wants to get troops out of Iraq when she gets in to office, it will take a while to actually get them out. That goes for any one of these candidates that could potentially be President. Anyway, this is y I think Hillary Clinton should be President.

I don't think Hillary Clinton should be president. She probably won't stop the war in Iraq or do anything to solve any problems. I think that Republicans and Democrats are about the same, and they just say they are going to do things just so people will vote for them, but really they don't do what they say.

I don't know what the age range of posters is here. But, I'm sorry to say that I voted for Bil Clinton in his last election. I agree with all the antiHilary posters. I think Ms. Clinton knows little about the average American and is mainly concerned with advancing her political career. As for staying with Bill, that's a personal choice and in my oppinion, none of our business I have to say though, I am very disappointed with the field of candidates. Both Republican or Democrats. I don't believe any of them have given voters a clear idea of how they'd like to run the country. Personally, I'd rather see Condoleezza Rice run for president. Woman or not, Hilary's just got to go. I'm actually thinking of switching my party just so I don't have to endure the humiliation of being in the same party as her. Just my take on things. So, don't everyone lambast me. You're free to disagree.

Agreed, no Hillery, no more Clinton!!! I don't know who I'll vote for; if I vote, but I do know I will not vote for Hillery...And, I also agree that her and Bill's personal life is none of our business, but what could be done, and at least how a candidate sees issues; that is if you could get the truth from any one of them, is important.

I will vote for the democratic candidate for President. No more republican cheating, lieing, croaniism.

Hilary is probably the smartest candidate running.

Obama is the most visionary.
Edwards would get my vote, but he won't get the nomination.

Juliani is a braggard.
Romney would continue the Bush crap and we don't need that.

McCain is an honest politician, but misguided.

Huckaby is out of his league and would make us all Christians whether we wanted to be or not.

So, here's hoping for Obama, but I'll definitely vote for Hilary.

Hello all. Well, I'm a little biased since I'm a volunteer for Obama's campaign so there you go. Here's why I don't want Hillary to be president. America wasn't founded on royalty, titles, and family rule. If you take a look at the last 20 years of American history can you name the presidents? George Herbert Walker Bush, William Jefferson Clinton, and George Walker Bush. If we elect Hillary Rodham Clinton, we will have two families running our country for 28 years. Many people will say 32 years forgetting that Bush Sr. only won one election. He was however, the VP under Reagan before that. Anyway, I think we need new people running our country. I don't believe we should have this royal family politics. Also, I'd just like to point out since this is a site primarily of blindies, that Obama has mentioned helping people with disabilities unlike the other candidates. I personally hope it's a race between Obama and McCain. I cannot in good conscience vote for Hillary. Also, on the subject of the Iraq War, I am someone who is very into politics and know what it's like to vote in hard cases for student issues. I always vote my conscience whether it's against the president, the rest of the people voting, whatever. I have no sympathy for Senator Clinton's regret of voting for the war. That tells me she won't vote her conscience. I mean, I don't like Bush, but at least he believed in what he was doing. He just wasn't smart enough to see that what he was doing was gonna screw up the country.

cool time to resurface this topic since the race is on...keep your opinions coming. I say Obama

Hello again all. If anyone wants to look at what Obama says about helping people with disabilities or on any other issue as well as his biography, how you can get involved, and a speech archive and events and groups you can take part in, go to http://my.barackobama.com.

Hi, all. I have to be honest, I don't really trust any politicians, no matter which party they're from. All make promises that they'll never be able to keep. However, I really do not want to see Hilary as President. I think we've definitely seen enough of the Clintons, just as we've seen enough of the Bushes. Hilary is a very polarizing figure. People either love her or hate her, and there seems to be little in between. I don't think she'd do very well at uniting people on issues that required it. As far as the Democrats go, I think Obama is the best of them. As far as Republicans, I really don't know who the heck I like. Someone earlier mentioned that Huckabee would make everyone Christians whether they wanted it or not, but that's impossible. No one can make anyone a Christian if they don't choose it for themselves. That, and Huckabee wouldn't have gotten as far as he has in politics if he were that pushy about faith.

Bobby, I'm curious. You said here's hoping for Obama, but you're voting for Hilary? I'm confused. If you're hopeful for Obama, then why don't you vote for him?

Post 19 by lover of knowledge (Generic Zoner) on Friday, 25-Jan-2008 19:43:39

I think that was meant as I want Obama to win, but I wouldn't mind voting for Hillary if Obama loses the primaries. All I have to say once again is GO OBAMA!! Yay! BTW, the primary in South Carolina is tommorrow.
